Polti ideas to fight creases within your wardrobe:

HANGERS
Make them exclusive! Choose the correct type of hanger and don't put multiple items on a single hanger:

  • hangers with clips for skirts and classic trousers (hang them from the bottom)
  • wooden hangers are usually bigger and best for hanging heavy items like coats and jackets to preserve their shape
  • open-ended hangers are good for jeans and other trousers
  • velvet-covered hangers stop clothes made of slippery fabrics falling off
  • ridged hangers are excellent for tops with small shoulders
  • special tie and belt organisers are designed to hold lots of accessories on a single hanger

BOXES
Boxes are extremely useful for storing scarves, gloves and socks. Big boxes can store your bags and hats, but make sure to fill them with paper before storage to avoid mis-shaping.

SUITCASES
Store your suitcases one inside another to save a lot of space.

SHELVES AND DRAWERS
Shelves are good for sweaters that would definitely lose their shape on hangers, whilst drawers with dividers can keep small items like your underwear in order.

Polti’s natural tips to keep moths away from your clothes:

Moths don’t like newspaper! Wrap your sweaters in newspaper to keep them safe during summer. In addition, be sure to place a natural moth repellent within each cupboard compartment; you can easily make one by filling a small cotton or linen bag with lavender, cloves, dried lemon rinds, mint or cedar wood.

Boost your seasonal changeover with Polti:

Use Vaporetto’s steam power to deep clean your wardrobe, removing germs, bacteria, dust mites and bad odours in a single pass. Leave the door open for a couple of hours just to make sure everything is perfectly dry. Wash and iron your clothes before storing them for a long time. Don't button jackets as they could loose their shape. Store leather items in fabric cases rather than plastic. Steam heavy and wool clothes before storing to refresh the fibres.
