Polti Vaporetto Lecoaspira FAQs
The Vaporetto is only made by Polti. Safety, quality and widespread support within Italy are guaranteed by the more than 40 years of experience of a leader in the manufacture of steam appliances for cleaning and ironing.
It is an effective steam cleaner able to sanitise any washable surface and is a potent vacuum cleaner with a water filter that traps dirt and allergens without dispersing them into the home.
The air that is vacuumed by the Polti Vaporetto Lecoaspira, together with the dirt, is delivered with a powerful jet into the dirt collector, creating a water vortex within it. The centrifugal force generated by the vortex forces impurities to the bottom of the collector, preventing them from being re-released into the home. That is why the water filtration system is particularly suitable for allergy sufferers.
All surfaces that can be steam cleaned: from floors to windows, cooktops, bathroom fixtures, mattresses, curtains and even carpets. You can even steam clean delicate surfaces, such as parquet flooring, however make sure you set the steam delivery to minimum and do a test run first on a small area to check the surface’s heat resistance (or consult with the manufacturer).
Use the +COMPARE button found on every product page on our site to create a comparison page for the available models. You can evaluate the technical features and functions, as well as the standard accessories.
The Polti Vaporetto Lecoaspira is made up of an extremely efficient suction engine and a boiler for generating steam. The 2,200/2,450 W of power represents the TOTAL consumed power. Using it only as a vacuum cleaner, the consumed power falls to 1,100 W for the FAV20/70 model and 1,350 W for other models. The remaining 1,100 W are for the boiler.
Firstly, attach the cloth provided to the floor brush, ensuring you have fitted the corresponding insert. If you have a model with a setting or function for cleaning delicate floors, select the programme or turn on the function and suctioning will be automatically combined with extremely delicate steam delivery. If you have a model without pre-sets, set the steam to minimum and deliver it intermittently to avoid applying too much moisture to the surfaces.
Yes, the steam and vacuum functions have two separate buttons and can be activated individually or at the same time.
For cleaning floors, we recommend vacuuming first to remove the most evident dirt and then turning on both functions to finish. This procedure guarantees the best results in terms of cleanliness and hygiene.
The Polti Vaporetto Lecoaspira brush has been designed to wash and dry floors in one stroke. On some particularly “rough” or “uneven” floors (or where they have not been laid perfectly) you may, however, see a few streaks of water at the end. In these cases, you can clean and dry more evenly by using the supplied cloth, thereby preventing the formation of streaks.
These supplied cloths should be attached to the floor brush for cleaning the most delicate surfaces, if steam cleanable, when direct contact with the steam jet is not recommended. For some floors with irregular surfaces, such as stone, the use of the cloth makes cleaning and drying more uniform, preventing the formation of smears.
Yes, all the supplied cloths are machine washable by following the instructions on the label.
Avoid using bleach and fabric conditioner when washing so as to not ruin the quality of the microfibre.
All those you find in the Polti Vaporetto Lecoaspira Accessories section. If you have a model with pre-sets and want to use theiron accessory, the Polti Sani System Gunor the Steam Mop accessory, remember to select the pre-set with the iron symbol.
If you have a model with a safety cap, you can rinse the boiler as indicated in the instruction manual. If you have a model with unlimited operation time, we recommend maintaining the boiler at an authorised service centre. To find the closest SC to your home, please visit the following website: www.poltiassistance.com. To keep the appliance in full working order, we recommend using Kalstop: this is an organic, biodegradable and non-toxic product that prevents the formation of limescale inside the boiler.
Yes, you can rinse the brush right under running water and then let it dry naturally, taking sure to wait until it has completely dried before using it again.
All the filters can be washed with a simple jet of running water. The components of the water filter can be refitted right after, without having to wait for them to dry, while the HEPA filter must be left to dry naturally for around 24 hours.
