The History of Polti
Originating in Italy, Polti S.p.A. emerged as a pioneering force in product innovation. The inaugural creation, Polti Vaporella, marked the world's first household iron with an integrated boiler, introducing a new era in domestic ironing. Building upon this success, 1983 introduced the Vaporetto, a revolutionary steam cleaner featuring a high-pressure boiler.
Subsequent years brought forth groundbreaking advancements. In 1999, the Polti Forzaspira Lecologico was unveiled—an innovative vacuum cleaner equipped with a water filter designed to combat allergies. The following year saw the introduction of the Polti Vaporella Lecosapira, a dual-function marvel that utilised steam for cleaning and water for vacuuming—a harmonious blend of natural forces.
The year 2006 marked the arrival of the Polti Sanisystem, a cutting-edge steam sanitising system tailored for environments susceptible to biological contamination. Fast forward to 2014, and we introduced Polti Unico, a multifunctional vacuum cleaner that not only vacuums but also cleans and dries, offering a comprehensive cleaning solution. In 2017, our cordless steam floor cleaner, Moppy, made its debut, redefining floor and vertical surface cleaning with unparalleled convenience.
The subsequent year brought the unveiling of Polti La Vaporella, a new line of technologically advanced irons with integrated boilers. Characterised by reliability, power, and intelligence, these irons set new standards. In the preceding year, we proudly introduced Polti Vaporella Instant, featuring patented Instant Steam Technology that generates pressurised steam without delay—an embodiment of efficiency.
We're also proud to present the Polti Cimex Eradicator, a unique solution that stands out by utilising dry saturated steam superheated to an impressive 180°C for eradicating bed bugs. Unlike conventional steamers, this innovative device achieves temperatures of up to 180°C, delivering dry, saturated superheated steam that instantaneously eliminates bed bugs upon contact.
