How do you iron with an iron with a boiler?
Steam generator irons and traditional irons are two different systems which use two different ironing techniques:
With traditional irons, you go back and forth. The steam must be diffused to soften the fibres, and then the hot soleplate dries and sets them. That is why there are holes all over the soleplate.
With steam generator irons, you only need to go over the fabric once. The part with the holes irons out creases with an injection of steam, while the rest of the soleplate sets the press. That is why the holes are concentrated at the tip. And that is why it irons more quickly.
